9 Digit DevelopmentJun 2016 - Present
In June 2016, I founded my own company from which to work for my own clients. Since I founded 9 Digit Development (or 9DD, as I like to call it), I have gotten clients ranging from charity work, bloggers, YouTubers and a gardening company!
VisitScotlandAug 2017 - Oct 2017
Contract WordPress Developer
VisitScotland brought me onboard of their team to build a new website for Digital Tourism Scotland.
The biggest technologic challenge of this project was to integrate EventBrite’s API. EventBrite have a plugin for WordPress but it didn’t fulfil the clients requirements, so I took it upon myself to use the API to create my own tool for this project.
Relish Creative LimitedApr 2016 - Oct 2016
I was one of two developers employed at Relish and we worked almost exclusively with WordPress.
Relish has a diverse set of clients, ranging from gaming companies such as Square Enix to car companies such as Mercedes. This meant that any problems that cropped up were equally diverse, allowing for plenty of problem solving experience!
I was very grateful to have worked with Square Enix on their Final Fantasy XV online advert campaign, as it was one of my favourite game franchises growing up (and still is!).
iProspectNov 2015 - Apr 2016
My main responsibility was to implement Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and tracking onto client websites. I also helped the team to automate implementation by writing a plugin to audit current Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager setups using the inbuilt APIs, a process that would normally takes days (if not weeks) and condense that down to a few hours.
Steer Davies GleaveSept 2014 - Nov 2015
Front End/Back End Developer
I worked in a small team of developers that build online journey planners. We tailor made the journey planners to the clients vision to not only help bring area specific data to life on the screen, but also show a way for the user to travel from point A to point B in a greener, more eco-friendly way.
I also worked in conjuncture with the Sustainable Transport team to build Map Consultations where users can log in to the website and, on an interactive map, drop a pin and leave a comment voicing their opinion on a suggested change to their area (such as a new cycle path, new road/overpass, etc).
